I have decided that this age that Carmen is at is my favourite so far - she is just so cute with her talking, and the funny things she says. She is very unaffected and has no idea how cute she is, and it is so nice to hear her being so verbal. However, she is still being an absolute terror. She is full of energy (her swim teacher said they advise parents not to bring their kids early because they need to conserve their energy, but Carmen can go as early as she likes), and she does not stop from morning to night. She is also very stubborn and her favourite two words right now are : "I need". Her behaviour towards me can be quite rotten, and I talked to the health nurse about it today, and she feels that Carmie is feeling stressed in her relationship with me, that she feels like she is on shaky ground and is doing everything she can to try to get me to show her some love, and that she is overwhelmed with emotion and doesn't know how to deal with it. She asked me to give her examples of Carmen's behaviour, and then she said it's not just terrible twos that she is going through :( Anyway, she gave me some strategies to try to deal with her, and hopefully they work, because Carmie is making life rather difficult at the moment.
As for Arley, he had a rough afternoon today, but in general he is the perfect baby. The perfect, big-headed baby, I should say. The nurse measured his head today and it is in the 95th percentile. He is like a bobble head doll. He is in the 75th percentile for height and the 55th percentile for weight, so he is doing well. He makes this raspy phlegmy sound all the time, so I have to take him to the doctor next week to get his lungs checked, but I'm not worried, as he doesn't seem bothered by it. He turned 3 months on Wednesday - I can't believe he is such a big boy already. I'm so thankful that the "fourth trimester" is over!
