116 + 12 Weeks

We have had a very busy week here.  Our friends Paul and Ginny have been down visiting - so good to see them again, and Carmen has taken to Ginny very well, but Paul is a little scary with his "big arms".  We had quite a night with them on Saturday night.  We had several trips to the farm this week, and also to the park.  Wednesday was my 39th birthday, and Uncle Sting came down from Sydney, bringing his girlfriend Jess with him.  We spent my birthday on the farm, with fantastic weather and a great lunch.  Then on Thursday it was the Gallery Walk for ArtFest, and I had to open the gallery with my co-workers.  It was a great showing, and I made a sale which made it all worthwhile.  Arley has been a little fussy this week, and I thought he was better but last night he was at his worst.  It was Jeff's shift with him last night (yes, we alternate), and Arley had him up about 5 different times.  He has never done this before, so I am really hoping it is not the beginning of some awful phase!  Usually we don't hear from him until about 4am for his feed. But he did start rolling over this week, from his belly to his back, which is fun to see.   Carmen has also been rather difficult.  Dinner last night was very stressful, with Carmen receiving 3 time outs.  At the end of it all, I tried to make Jeff convince me that this is all worth it, but all he said was, "Well, we can't put them back".  Not very convincing!  And in one week, Mum and Geoff are going to Thailand for a month, so there goes my babysitting.  I might have to be committed.

Here are a couple of videos from this week

There are about a million photos below, I just couldn't choose :)

 New chairs!

 Chasing the turkeys

 Tummy time

New additions to the dress up box.  However, Carmen has taken to wearing this hat everywhere.

115 + 11 Weeks

It has been rather a busy week - Carmen had a play date in the park with her friend Hannah.  The two of them are so cute together, and as exhausting as going to the park is with Carmen and Arley, it is totally worth it to see Carmen and Hannah running around giggling.  That was last Friday.  Then on Saturday we had a good swimming lesson, and Carmen only jumped into the pool unattended twice :)  Then on Saturday night I was lifting Carmen off the couch by her hands, and she was messing around and was being a limp noodle, when I felt a crack and she started crying about her arm.  She eventually stopped crying but wouldn't move it.  She went to bed and slept all night, but woke up in the morning crying and still not moving her arm.  Mum met me at the hospital and we spent all morning there waiting for the doctor to come to set her pulled elbow back into place.  She just cracked it back into place, and Carmen was perfectly fine afterwards, and I will never pick her up by her arms again!  On Wednesday we went to Lions Park in Burill for the morning (another exhausting but worthwhile trip to a park).  On Thursday it was Carmen's Dida's birthday, so we went over after school so that Carmen could stuff her face with cake and corn chips.  Arley has had a few rough days.  At 11 weeks, he is supposed to be going through another "wonder week" milestone, and so this fussiness was expected.  He was back to normal today though.  Except for a bad case of cradle-cap, he is pretty much a dream baby!

Here are some videos from this past week.  The first one is rather long, but it does show how Carmen knows her whole alphabet already!
