It was Father's Day here on Sunday, so we went to Mum and Geoff's house for lunch. The weather was perfect and it was a lovely time. Mac 'n' cheese and a bottle of Shiraz, two of my favourite things to consume! Arley also turned 2 months on Monday, and it feels like we are out of the woods with him :). He is a pretty chill baby, sleeping for a good nine hours at night before he wakes for a feed. I still have hardly any time to myself unless my parents are baby sitting either one of the kids. Between 4:30 and 7:30 at night, all hell breaks loose in our house. Between getting Carmen fed and giving the kids a bath (together) and then getting Arley fed and them both put to bed, it is a mad house, and then it starts over again in the morning, and it is almost as bad as in the evening. But we survive every day, and I think every day is getting easier. Carmen is usually very sweet until dinner time, and then I would like to disown her! She is still into wearing different hats. In fact, she likes to put different items on her head, it could be a book, a napkin, a banana, and then she says, "Nice hat, Carmie, nice hat!". She is wearing her green party hat at school today. Total clown. Arley is smiling more and more, and is much loved by his sister.
Below are a couple of videos of Carmie (Arley is not nearly as amusing yet). In the video of Carmie at the table, she is singing Incy Wincy Spider, in case you couldn't tell :)
