It's been a rough week. My aunt passed away yesterday, after a horrible struggle, and Mum and Geoff spent the week with her in hospital in Canberra. It has been a difficult time, and it seems we have all suffered except for Arley, who has actually become nicer to his dad and most people in general. That is not to say he is an angel, but he has his moments. Carmie has about a million questions about death now, and can't seem to come to grips with it all. It is all horribly sad.
Carmie was sick for seven nights in a row. She kept waking up in the middle of the night with a tummy ache, the feeling that she had to throw up. It culminated on Friday night when she was sobbing, and I realised she needed help. So, she slept with me, and the next morning we went off to the hospital. They checked her blood sugar and her urine, and she was fine. I brought her home, and the tummy ache disappeared (of course). On Sunday night, Arley woke up with a tummy ache, and was up three separate times for hours. Fun. I took the kids to school on Tuesday, and one of the carers there told me she had a tummy ache, really bad nausea, for two days over the weekend. Well, guess what. I am now on day four of the worst nausea and fluey feelings. I spent today in bed. No fun at all.
So, I am really glad that this week is over, and looking forward to getting better and making the most of the week to come :)
