Argh, I forgot to write the blog on Thursday! It's because on a whim I decided to go to the mall and do all of my Christmas shopping. It was hellacious, but I am done! Woot woot!
It was a big week. On Saturday we had an end of year Taekwon Do practice/party. It was supposed to be at the beach, but the weather ruined it. The kids were supposed to start a 6 week surf class but the first session got cancelled also due to the bad weather. We had crazy storms this week, and the beaches were not terribly safe. We did get to the beach on Wednesday to meet up with Nicky and Lexi, and that was nice. The kids and I got sunburnt, which is a bugger. I took them out for ice cream afterwards.
On Tuesday morning we had our private Taekwon Do class, and the kids got to break boards. Mr Kelly wanted to show Arley how hard he is actually kicking, because he just doesn't believe in himself. He did great with the boards, and was definitely proud of himself. Carmie then jumped up and smashed through them too. Two weeks ago I managed to fracture a bone in my foot, so I'm taking it easy for a bit.
It was so hot on Tuesday that the kids were unable to ride their horses at horse riding. Instead they groomed and bathed them, and then rode the practice barrel. Thursday was even hotter, but that didn't stop Arley from going fishing with Clint. They caught another fish, and he absolutely loved it. They didn't get to go out in a boat, which was the plan, because a giant thunderstorm was rolling in, but I think that will be happening next week. Arley can't wait.
That's all I have for now! It's Saturday, and it's time for my date with Jeffrey.
